Rubén Ardila Award for Scientific Research in Psychology

In 2004, the Foundation for the Advancement of Psychology (FAP) established and award named the “Rubén Ardila Award for Scientific Research in Psychology”. This award is intended to recognize the lifetime contributions of a psychologist to scientific investigation in the field of psychology. Nominees for this award are evaluated by a joint group formed from representatives of the Interamerican Society of Psychology (SIP), the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS), and the Foundation for the Advancement of Psychology (FAP). The award is presented every two years at the Interamerican Congress of SIP.

This award includes recognition for these contributions in the form of a conmemorative plaque and a monetary award of $ 1,000 USD, which is merely a symbolic amount.
